The umbrella is a familiar object, it has a good large surface that may be covered in sensors and creates a nice little sphere underneath it, which also nearly allows for a surround sound effect.
Below is playing around with patterns inspired by a stylised RFID chip. If the sensors turn out to look anything like copper coil antennas, this could open for nice decoration possibilities on the umbrella’s upper surface.
